The European Chamber and the German Chamber are delighted to welcome you to a seminar on the Sino-German Double Taxation Agreement.
Finally, the new China-Germany tax treaty has been signed after long years of waiting. Replacing the old treaty from 1985, it aligns the tax treatment of cross-border transactions and relationships with the latest trends in international economic policy. This means both opportunities and challenges for tax payers.
In this seminar, our distinguished speaker, Mr. Alexander Prautzsch, will present the main changes in the treaty and their background. He also will highlight key risks and opportunities by using representative case studies and examples. Furthermore he will compare the German treaty with other treaties that China recently signed or enacted with other European countries, and provide the audience with an opportunity to raise questions.
Issues to be addressed include: What impact will the new treaty have on German companies doing business in China? What does it mean for their investment structure? And what will change for individuals working in China?
