In 2011, Sean Gilbert joined KPMG’s Beijing Office as Director of Climate Change and Sustainability bringing near 15 years of experience in the sustainability field working with companies, governmental organizations, NGOs, and financial institutions.

Sean is a global expert in sustainability measurement and reporting. He led the development of the GRI performance indicators and reporting framework as well as a dozen industry guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative. Sean brings expertise in responsible lending and investment from developing sector guidelines for reporting by the financial sector and collaborating with the investment sector on their use of ESG information

At KPMG, he has been involved in projects related to reporting, assurance, and strategy development for clients in the banking, mining, and oil & gas sectors. He has also been leading the development of KPMG’s work in China in the area of climate change.

Thibault Heuzé is Financial Counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to China since January 2013. Thibault joined the European Commission in January 2004. Prior to his posting in Beijing, he was international coordination officer in charge of inter alia the cooperation with China, Japan and South-East Asian countries in the Directorate General for Internal Market and Services. During four years, he followed regulatory dialogues on financial services, trade negotiations and cooperation projects, and travelled extensively in Asia. Previously, he worked in the international affairs unit of the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities. He holds a Master degree in Law (Rennes, France) and graduated from the College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium).

Katherine Han is a Senior Analyst with MSCI ESG Research in Beijing. In her role, she reviews and analyzes both international and Asian companies on their ESG (environmental, social and governance) risks, opportunities, and management capabilities.
Katherine is the sector lead for the Tech industries research, and has covered a number of high-profile IT companies such as IBM, Yahoo!, Oracle, and Tencent. She has also published several industry and thematic reports on industry sustainability trends and emerging ESG issues. Previously at MSCI, Katherine helped to establish the Institutional Shareholder Services team in Beijing and worked on Fixed Income Multi-Asset Class quality assurance.

Timothy Hui has been the Director of GRI’s Greater China office based in Beijing since October 2012. This office known as GRI Focal Point China was established in July 2009. In recognition of the important role that China is playing globally in the mainstreaming of sustainability reporting, Timothy is leading GRI’s effort in China to drive GRI’s mission to make sustainability reporting standard practice by providing positive impact on sustainability reporting landscape from both policy and market perspectives.

Before joining GRI, Timothy held the position as the Country Manager for Ecotech International (ETI), China Operation of green development consulting, and the Chief Representative & Director of Government Relations over a decadewith the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) – an environment NGO .

Mr. Wang is a vice President and partner of SynTao with a profound understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) development in China. He holds extensive experience in CSR report writing and research, CSR evaluation and consulting, stakeholder engagement, micro-finance development, community investment and sustainable investment. Mr. Wang previously worked at the Calvert Foundation, a Washington D.C. based institution, specialized in SRI. He also volunteered for the Grameen Foundation, U.S.A., to help promote micro-finance in China.

Mr. Wang graduated from the University of California, San Diego U.S.A. with a Master of Pacific and International Affairs.
