Investors, being a key audience of corporate reporting, are increasingly looking to assess not just the financial performance of the companies in which they invest, but also the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
This growing interest had forced companies to adopt a more structured approach to environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) reporting.
However, corporates still face many issues when dealing with EGS risks and opportunities, mainly because ESG frameworks pose questions in terms of due diligence and disclosure. At the same time, investors seem to consider the current level of non-financial disclosure inadequate and are increasingly request for a higher level of materiality and comparability of ESG information.
With the aim of discussing the most recent developments of ESG disclosure and related challenges, the European Chamber is delighted to invite you to CSR event with featuring speakers from the EU Delegation to China and Global Reporting Initiative China Focal Point, on the New Scenario of ESG disclosure, taking place on 27th May at the European Chamber Beijing Office.
