The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Tax Seminar on China VAT Pilot: Experiences and updates.
Since 2012, several China VAT pilot reforms were launched with direct impact on various sectors, such as transportation, logistics, intellectual services and telecommunications. The seminar will highlight China VAT Pilot updates and next steps, covering the lifestyle, financial services, real estate and insurance sectors. The speakers will share their practical experience gained during the previous phases of the VAT pilot, in particular in relation with discussions with authorities, VAT compliances, systems and processes requirements, and concrete challenges faced by companies to comply.
The objective is to give a general overview of the current situation and best practices, with the joint perspective of our speakers from Ernst and Young and TNT, to help companies better prepare for the day-to-day management of the pilot VAT requirements.

Speakers:
Mr. Stephane Rinkin
Stéphane is Partner, China Indirect Tax, of Ernst and Young. He assists Chinese and multi-national clients to manage and streamline their indirect tax positions in Asia Pacific. Before joining Ernst and Young, Stéphane worked for another Big 4 firm in Switzerland, where he led the Indirect Tax Department for the French speaking part of Switzerland. He has 14 years of experience in the field of indirect taxation with a special focus on VAT. He is a Luxembourg Certified Tax Expert.
Ms. Connie Li
Connie is Head of Tax, Greater China, TNT Express, one of the world's largest express delivery companies with a global reach to 200 countries and a very strong position in Europe.
Prior to joining TNT in 2012, she was Tax Consultant at DTT in Tianjin from 2002 to 2004. She then worked at PwC’s Shanghai office from 2004 until 2012 as Senior Tax Consultant then Senior Tax Manager. She has more than ten years’ experience in tax.
