The last CRS Forum "Winning Factors for European Business in China" was a great success and motivated our members to explore the best business practice during a potential crisis. It took an insider’s perspective to discuss how business should respond to external challenge in a socially responsible way.
Our next CSR Forum event will be held on 12th September at 9:00 am, with an expected participation of 30-35 attendees, divided into 5 groups, with each group 6-7 attendees respectively. Each group will be headed by 1/2 mentor with relevant experience in the field, who will guide group members to properly interpret and respond to the event based on their specific role. Different groups will interact and challenge with each other’s action plans. We will extend the discussion on how corporate finds a solution and responses when they are challenged by external stakeholders (government, media, customers, NGO and community) after a potential business incident/public aware crisis. (case study please check the attachment).
From this event, members are expected to put themselves in others’ shoes and understand what roles and impacts these stakeholders contribute to the incident: by means of role play, members are expected to free themselves from their professional mindset, and use multiple angles to understand the roles played by different stakeholders in a potential crisis, and form a comprehensive, preventive way to improve the company’s CSR practice for future incidents.
