Dear GA Forum Member,
You are cordially invited to the European Chamber’s next Finger on the Pulse roundtable session, taking place at 2pm on Thursday, 20 November 2014 in the Beijing Office.
As you may have learned, starting from this year, the local Position Papers have become stand-alone documents and are being individually prepared by the Chamber’s seven chapters, to allow for a more focused and in-depth discussion of the issues faced by businesses operating in each geographical region. The first draft of the Beijing paper is expected to complete in mid-December. As such, the Chamber is actively consulting both its working group members and governmental stakeholders (e.g. Beijing Investment Promotion Bureau, Beijing Development and Reform Commission etc) for input.
At the next GA Roundtable, we hope to gather your views on key recommendations in the Beijing local paper, and any additional lobbying issues you consider should be communicated with local authorities. Please find below a list of the existing KRs:
1. Tackle Beijing’s Persistent Air Pollution Problems;
2. Develop the Required Framework and the Relevant Market Conditions to Attract European Financial Services to Beijing;
