The European Chamber is delighted to welcome you for an information session on the recent announced filing of individual income tax (IIT) starting 2007 and to provide you with first hand information on visa and work permit regulations for foreigners, helping employers and employees to take necessary actions.
The Ministry of Taxation of the PRC announced that as of January 1, 2007, anyone living in mainland China with earnings of more than RMB120,000 annually will be required to file a personal income tax report with the tax authorities. This includes foreigners working and living in mainland China for more than 183 days per year.
Do you want to know what kind of visa is needed to work in Shanghai and the procedure to extend it? Then get first hand information from The Bureau of Exit-Entry Administration Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau. Learn more about how to change a type of visa, get and extend a resident or working permit and what regulations are in place for accompanying families.
On this occasion we are delighted to welcome a speaker from the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau to talk about all visa related issues and Mr. Stephen Green, Partner with Deloitte and HR Working Group Chairman, talking about IIT.
