Wednesday, 7th February 2007 at the EU Chamber,
Shanghai Office starting at 11.15am. Members interested to continue our discussion are welcome to join us for a WG lunch afterwards at Xintiandi.
The Chamber is delighted to welcome
Dr. Dirk Czarnowski (Manager with TÜV SÜD) to speak at our meeting. Dr. Czarnowski has extensive experience in the regulatory environment in Europe and China and will explain more about various directives and their impact on the European Automotive Supply Industry in China. With exports from China to Europe reaching almost 500mil Euros in 2005 we would also like to kick off a group discussion on this topic and look into the chances for our suppliers. Dr. Peter Kilgenstein, the Group Chairman will present an introduction to this topic.
According to our articles of association we will hold the
Chair election before the Chamber's AGM in April. Over the past year the Chamber's AC Working Group has been chaired in Shanghai by Dr. Peter Kilgenstein from Bosch and in Beijing by Michael Laske from AVL. The Chairpersons play key roles in driving the development of the Working Group, promote their activities and communicate targeted messages on behalf of industry to senior policy makers in China and Europe.
