We would love to hear your feedback, and it just takes a minute.
Why of relevance for your business:
- cost of energy (cooling, heating, lighting, gas, air, water, waste - all sources) can represent a relevant part of your operating costs and reducing it will directly affect your bottom line positively
- not controlled energy consumption often goes in line with environmental sins, which can be avoided
- looking into replacing conventional energy supplies by renewable sources can lead to increased decentralised energy autonomy and government incentives
- measuring and controlling energy consumption by visualization leads to an overall increased cost sensitivity
- taking a return-on-invest approach in favour of energy reducing installations will allow to improve the bottom line
What to get from the workshop:
- see the advantages of an innovation management concept and process installed
- recognize the differences between energy efficiency measures compared to investments
- see the benefits of an ROI orientated concept
- get information about innovative solutions including renewable energy
- see the benefits of a holistic approach
- advantages of involving controlling into an energy management system and installing a control room
- see the advantages of involving all individual users into an overall system
Hans-J. Pleuger, Shanghai, China
Born and grown up in Germany Hans holds a diploma in business administration and industrial sociology.
He has spent the best part of his management career in corporations with international business relationships, in manufacturing and marketing/sales. Starting from an apprenticeship, studies, to RWT AG (KPMG Certified Public Accountants) until taking responsibilities as Managing Director of a US company in Europe, as Member of the Management Board (Vorstand) of a German Holding AG (manufacturing of ALC construction materials, turnkey buildings and turnkey plants) and CEO of a Holding AG (renewable energy) in Switzerland.
The sizes of these companies ranged from USD 15 Mio. in revenues p.a. when he began, till USD 1 bio. with 2.300 employees and subsidiaries and licensees in 25 countries. Turnaround management jobs for a German AG in the paper- and in the automotive-industry came on top.
The development of renewable energy projects (waste to energy- and solar-thermal – power plants) as an entrepreneur including the formation of new legal entities brought him deeper into South-East Asia, where he has been working since then intensively in Indonesia, China, Japan, Vietnam, Korea, Malaysia and Korea.
He has a strong sensitivity for the symbiosis of people and numbers, to identify and connect matching partners and firms within M&A processes in growing innovative markets, and his skills in intercultural negotiations were as crucial as the knowledge gained from the line management as from the consulting-side.
Based upon his management experience with turnkey buildings including architecture and the specific expertise from many years in the renewable energy business allowed him to apply this knowledge in his own energy consulting company designing and implementing holistic solutions, mainly by applying renewable energy systems, in industry and administration. Within a systematic approach from the analysis to the ongoing controlling, by integrating all kinds of energy, his focus and specific contribution beyond the technical concepts was influencing the impact of all such
measures on the bottom line (ROI) and by also involving the final users with their attitude towards energy consumption.
This knowledge together with his communication skills allowed him to also run workshops about how to practically implement energy cost reduction and profit increase successfully.
Certificates in international management from Stanford-Insead (Fontainebleau), Centre d´Études Industrielles, (Geneva), HBDI (Ned Herrmann Institute Berlin, coaching license) and working with TMI (Training- and Management Institute, Germany / USA), Prof. Rupert Lay and Erik von Barnekow have complemented his education.
Hans speaks German, English (fluent) and French.
