1. Working Group Presentation - Daisy Chen, Retail Measurement Services Director, AC Nielsen (The Nielsen Company)
Ms. Chen will give a general introduction of the most up to date stats in China's Food & Beverage industry over 2006, helping companies get a feel for how the market is changing and developing.
2. Outcome of European Chamber meeting with Shanghai Pudong CIQ
The Chairman of the Working Group met with representatives of Shanghai Pudong CIQ in December to seek clarification on issues arising from the decentralisation in 2006 of the labelling application procedure from Beijing AQSIQ. The Chairman will present the outcome of the useful meeting to members of the Working Group.
3. Assess what has come out of the 2006/7 Position Paper
Last year's recommendations included:
- Labelling Requirements
- Labelling Application Procedure
- Sanitary Certificate
- Distilled Spirits
- Testing on E. Sakazakii
4. Invite lobbying topics for 2007/8 Position Paper
We are inviting companies to submit their issues for inclusion in the 2007/8 Position Paper
5. Invite general topics and goals for group throughout 2007
We wish to share a suggested a forward agenda for Working Group meetings, seminar topics and potential meetings with local government, other organisations and cross-over meetings with other European Chamber Working Groups. We also welcome members to submit suggestions for topics.
6. Election of Chair and Vice Chair of the Working Group for 2007
Nominations are open for those members in good standing (i.e. whose membership fee is paid for 2007). Those with an interest please forward their names to David Martin dmartin@euccc.com.cn before Friday Feb 9th. The election will take place on the 14th at the meeting.
