On October 2nd, 2014, the State Council approved the establishment of Sichuan Tianfu New Area, elevating it as a national strategy. Tianfu New Area, with a planned area of 1,578 km2, includes 7 counties (cities/districts) under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, Meishan City and Ziyang City. It will be forged into a modern international new zone featuring modern manufacturing industry, an inland economic highland opening to the outside world, an area suitable for work, investment and living, a modern high-end industrial cluster, and a demonstration zone for the coordinated and integrated development between urban and rural areas.
今年10月2日，国务院批复设立四川天府新区，四川天府新区开发建设上升为国家战略。四川天府新区区域范围涉及成都、眉山、资阳3市所辖7县（市、区），规划面积1578平方公里，将建设成为以现代制造业为主的国际化现代新区，打造成为内陆开放经济高地、宜业宜商宜居城市、现代高端产业集聚区、统筹城乡一体化发展示范区。
This is the first investment promotion event with a special theme hosted by the provincial government since the establishment of Tianfu New Area, aiming at publicizing the development plans and relevant policies for Tianfu New Area, sharing investment opportunities and seeking cooperation and mutual development. All distinguished guests from well-known foreign and domestic enterprises, as well as international chambers of commerce and associations are warmly invited to attend the meeting. Activities such as Sichuan Tianfu New Area Investment Promotion Meeting & Signing Ceremony of Cooperation Projects, visit of Sichuan Tianfu New Area Planning Exhibition and site survey will be carried out during the event. Based on the construction and development of Tianfu New Area, a number of major investment cooperation projects will be recommended in the fields of high-end manufacturing, e-commerce, modern logistics, modern finance, scientific and technological services, senior citizen healthcare service, culture, tourism, medical treatment, education, infrastructural construction and so on.
此次活动是四川天府新区设立后四川省首次主办的专题投资促进活动，特邀中外知名企业和国内外知名商（协）会嘉宾出席，旨在推介四川天府新区发展规划和相关政策，共谋合作发展，共享投资商机。活动期间，将举行四川天府新区投资推介会暨合作项目签约仪式、组织参观四川天府新区规划展、实地考察等，并围绕四川天府新区建设和发展，集中推出一批高端制造、电子商务、现代物流、现代金融、科技服务、养老健康服务、文化旅游、医疗教育和基础设施建设等领域的重大投资合作项目。
