2. Update on EUCCC meeting with SIPO
*Ling?? bio:
Ling joined Rouse & Co International Beijing office in February 2000 after having worked for ten years in the Office of Legislative Affairs of the State Council, PRC. Her responsibility there included mainly IP legislation as well as legislation concerning education, science, culture and broadcasting. She is very familiar with China's legislation process and the Central Government policy making process. Her experience also includes seven years involvement in Sino-US IP negotiations and participation in UNDP, WIPO, EU and World Bank China legislation TA projects. From January 1998 to July 1999, Ling studied in the University of Melbourne, focusing in IP and e-commerce and received her second Masters of Law (she obtained a Masters of Law in China in 1990). During her stay in Melbourne she also worked in the IP/IT department of leading Australian law firm, Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks.
Ling is currently based in Rouse?? Shanghai Office. She is an executive and the Head of China Commercial Group. Ling is responsible for handling a range of contentious and non-contentious IP work. She speaks Chinese and fluent English.
