Market Research in China - Staring into the mouth of the Dragon
China's size and demographic makes it a challenging but potentially hugely rewarding market. Understanding the subtleties of this market and exploring how best to position your product can be crucial to your company's success in China. Market research is one of the important tools in this process. To that effect the European Chamber is delighted to announce a seminar that will cover how best to go about market research in China.
1. Rene Bos, Executive Director, Customised Research Services, ACNielsen (The Nielsen Company)
Mr Bos' presentation entitled, 'Ride the Wave in China’s Evolving Consumer Market' will cover issues such as the key trends shaping the consumer market for the next 5 years, China’s developing second tier markets, the aging population & bulging middle class, China’s online population and the explosive growth of modern retail trade.
Mr. Bos will also discuss what makes China a difficult market with regards to regional diversity and fragmentation. China is becoming increasingly mobile with more and more people owning cars and travelling. It is therefore increasingly important to identify target segmentation, understand consumer needs and build brand loyalty.
Finally the presentation will have an overview of MR development in China including: products and tools, your research needs, research methodologies & tools to connect to Chinese consumers through online research
