Who can vote?
You can vote for the election if you:
1) are the Designated Representative (the main contact between the European Chamber and your company);
2are an European member with operations in China;
3) are a member of one of our working groups or forums; and
4) have paid dues for the year 2015 (please make sure that the Chamber has received and confirmed your membership payment by Friday, April 17th).
Who can attend the Board Election Meeting?
All members (including those who do not meet the requirements for voting and standing for election), with paid dues, have the right to participate. However only members who meet the above mentioned 4 criteria can vote or run for election.
How can I vote?
There are two ways of voting:
1) In person by secret ballot at the elections venue. Please note that even if you have voting rights confirmed by the Secretariat of the Chamber, you must have registered for the Shanghai Board Elections in order to exercise this vote by Friday, April 17th, 6pm.
2) Assign a proxy to vote on your behalf by Friday, April 17th, 6pm. Please fill in the proxy form and send a scanned copy to Mrs. Laura Alvarez Mendivil at lamendivil@europeanchamber.com.cn, by fax to +86 21 6385 2381 or in person at the Chamber office in Shanghai (Unit 2204, Shui On Plaza, 333 Huai Hai Zhong Road, Shanghai).
The proxy must be a colleague from your own legal entity. This requirement has only one exception for the Individual member, who may give his/her proxy to another individual member/corporate member in Shanghai.
Proxies received after the deadline and in a format different from those listed above won’t be accepted.
