How to attract people to join your company; Staffing and Recruiting Position Paper 2007 / 2008
Following last month's brainstorming session where we discussed future topics for the HR Working Group, the European Chamber is pleased to invite to invite you to participate in the May meeting where we will share ideas and experiences relating to staffing and recruitment.
The presentation, given by Ms. Chen Yuwei, HR Manager at BASF-YPC, will outline the following points:
- recruitment channels
- the first day(s)
- company branding
- recruitment philosophies
During the second half of the session the focus will shift to the 2007/2008 Position Paper. We encourage all participants to offer their input into this, the European Chamber's core publication.
As a member of the European Chamber, this is your once in a year opportunity to meaningfully express your key concerns and recommendations relating to HR issues. Participating in this session and therefore directly contributing to the Position Paper is a way for your company to play a role in channeling constructive ideas through a respected and widely distributed publication, thereby helping to enhance the current business environment not only in Nanjing but throughout China.
The Position Paper is published on an annual basis and represents the overall view of EU companies conducting business in China. It is compiled entirely from discussions that have taken place within The European Chamber's Working Groups. The Position Paper details the key concerns and recommendations of each Working Group with regards to WTO implementation issues, trade issues beyond China's WTO commitments, regulatory issues and broader policy-related issues. It is presented to the relevant Chinese authorities including the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the National Reform and Development Commission (NDRC), the Legislative Affairs Office of the State Council, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).
