Have you used Uber or Didi to get a taxi?
Have you booked your summer holiday using Airbnb or Tujia.com?
Have you started using Spotify or KuGou to access your favorite music online?
…
If you have tried any of these abovementioned items, then welcome to the “sharing economy”, a new era which values access to certain services over ownership of certain products.
Owning a car used to be the ultimate symbol of freedom and independence but increasingly consumers view ownership as an expense and a burden. Car Sharing is becoming increasingly popular with its promise of personal convenience and social improvement.
Globally, car sharing has been growing at double the rate of new car sales, however, in China the concept of car sharing is relatively unheard of. But Chinese market does have witnessed a fast growth of car leasing, a more traditional consumption model which also values access over ownership. Although leasing is on the rise, companies are still confronted with challenges when trying to sell car-sharing services.
The Automotive Vision Series cordially invite you to join us from 9:00-11:00, on Friday, May 15th at Hilton Hotel for an interactive seminar to explore the following topics:
- What’s driving the shift away from traditional vehicle ownership?
- Are Chinese car buyers aware and willing to use leasing and car sharing?
- How can businesses respond to the challenges presented by this disruptive trend?
- How can this help persuade Chinese consumers to see the benefits of leasing and car sharing?
