The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the launch of the European Business in China – Position Paper 2015/2016. The launch event will be held at 15:00pm on Tuesday, 15th September, 2015, at the Crowne Plaza.
The European Business in China – Position Paper (Position Paper) is the European Chamber’s primary annual publication. The15th edition of the Position Paper offers Chinese policy-makers over 800 recommendations that draw directly from the knowledge and expertise of the European Chamber’s 1,800 member companies.
This year’s Position Paper includes:
- Our Third Plenum ‘reality check’: a thorough analysison how the implementation of the Third Plenum’s Decision’s reforms—or the lack thereof—has been affecting the Chinese business environment: Last year’s Position Paper analysed the Decision’s outlined reform agenda, now we are taking stock on its progress.
- A ‘wish list’ for Brussels: detailed recommendations on what European business invested in China would like to see included in the ongoing negotiations for an EU-China Comprehensive Agreement on Investment.
- A ‘new toolbox’: European business’ analysis on the necessary reforms the Chinese Government needs to undertake to rebalance its economy.
- The concerns of the European Chamber’s 27 vertical and 10 horizontal workings groups about their respective sector’s operating environment.
