Shortage of talent is becoming a growing concern in China as the country grows into a new phase of its development. In order to become more competitive,the Ministry of Public Security in Shanghai has recently announced 12 new exit-entry policies aimed at providing more convenient immigration arrangements, the best residence status for overseas talent and the most efficient immigration services – all to attract top talent, innovators, and entrepreneurs into Shanghai. While the new policies were intended to relax and simplify the immigration process, further clarification of its implementation is needed.
The European Chamber is delighted to invite Mr. Chen Lijun, Deputy Director of Pudong Exit-Entry Administration Bureau General Office, and his colleagues Qian Jiayin, Gu Jieying and Zheng Weijia to provide you the information about the latest visa developments in Shanghai such as:
- New residence permit for foreigners in Innovation centers
- New regulations of entry-port visas and transferring visas in Shanghai
- New residence/permanent resident regulations for foreigners
