Exclusive Dialogue with Shanghai FDA Official on the New Food Safety Law 

As one of a series of seminars on the new Food Safety Law, the European Chamber is delighted to host an exclusive dialogue with Mr. Chao Qiangguo, Director of Food Production Supervision Division of Shanghai FDA. Mr. Chao will give a presentation on the amendment of food production supervision in the new Law and explain how this would affect your business operation. In particular, his presentation will shed light on Measures for the Administration of Food Production Licenses and Measures for the Administration of Food Operation Licenses that CFDA issued on September 1.

Please kindly note that this off-the-record session will be in Mandarin only.

Mr. Chao Qiangguo is currently Deputy Director of Food Production Supervision Division of Shanghai FDA. In the meantime, he is also Vice Dean of Shanghai Institute of Quality Inspection and Technical Research, Director of National Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center (Shanghai) and member of Shanghai FDA Food Safety Expert Advisory Council. Mr. Chao has long work experience in food safety surveillance and management and has engaged in establishment, amendment and approval of national, local and industry standards. He has led many research projects and international comparison studies. As a certified chief assessor of national laboratories, he has carried out assessment work in multi-system laboratories.
