CSR is about creating shared value for all levels of stakeholders, while education is about empowering people. The integration of these two concepts catalyzes changes and multiplies impacts. With the rapid development of CSR in China, gradually more companies have incorporated “empowerment” into their CSR strategies and linked their CSR program with their business expertise.
AmCham China Business Sustainability Committee and European Chamber CSR Forum jointly invite you to a seminar on “Improving Access to Education: Multiplying Impact through CSR Program” from 3:00-5:30pm on October 19th.
At the seminar, three experts will share insights on their CSR-oriented education programs and discuss about how business can leverage their expertise in engaging marginalized community, empowering them to participate fully in economic life across all sectors, and improving the quality of life for women, men, families and the whole society.

CSR practitioners from both large and small enterprises who seek to weave education initiative into their CSR programs are welcome to attend. NGO professionals and government officials who are interested in engaging marginalized community are also welcome to attend.

About “CSR Practitioner Retreat” Series :
In 2015, the CSR Forum embraces its 10th birthday. To mark this milestone anniversary, the Forum in Beijing launched “CSR Practitioner Retreat”, a four-part roundtable series which aims at offering the opportunity for CSR professionals to step back from their day-to-day work and invest time in strategic skills development through best practices sharing. Participants can benefit from peer-to-peer learning among CSR professionals from a variety of organizations including MNCs, SMEs, think tanks and non-profits. The topics of “CSR Practitioner Retreat” series are very practical and center mainly around on-the-ground sustainability practices that CSR practitioners have to deal with during their day-to-day work.
