The PRC Cyber Security Law which became effective on 1st June 2017 has caused concerns among MNCs especially on the restriction of using and transferring the personal data. What are the implications for the HR function and the real risks for foreign companies operating in China? What mitigation actions can be envisaged?

This phenomenon has raised the China tax authorities' great awareness on tax administration of foreign employees and their employers. In practice, certain companies are found to have some misinterpretation on the China individual income tax impacts brought by foreign employees who come to China to provide services.
