On the evening of March 26, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the implementation of an entry ban to be put into force at midnight on March 28. Anyone outside of China afterward was barred from returning, effectively invalidating visas and residency permits. Despite this sudden policy, a few groups were allowed to enter China, one group being green card holders.
