The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has launched its COVID-19 Crisis Recovery Facility (CRF) in response to urgent economic, financial and public health pressures and to support a quick recovery of its members after the current crisis. The Facility will offer an initial USD 5 -10 billion of financing to both public and private sector entities facing serious adverse impacts as a result of the pandemic. In the past few months, foreign direct investment (FDI) has returned to the forefront of discussions among European policymakers and business circles.
