Counterfeits: a global threat needs global answers. The WTO estimates the share of counterfeits at the total global trade volume of 5% to 7%. 80% of the profits of counterfeited exports from China is created outside the country. An estimated 750,000 labor in the global automotive industry alone is lost due to counterfeiting.
