In June of this year, The New York Times warned that “as China moves to start enforcing a new cybersecurity law, foreign companies face a major problem: They know very little about it.” Though the Times may be guilty of hyperbole, while the implementing rules are still being formulated a lot of guess work remains on how this incredibly broad piece of legislation will actually be enforced.

Members will also be invited to share their opinions and feedback on recent ICT policies, including but not limited to the critical information infrastructure (CII) protection and data protection rules released by the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) and the National Information Security Standardisation Technical Committee (TC260).
