About the GMIS
The Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS) is a joint initiative launched by UNIDO and the Ministry of Economy of the United Arab Emirates to develop and promote global manufacturing and industrial innovation by consolidating knowledge and best practices, and creating a platform to share expertise and showcase transformational ideas. The first GMIS was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in March 2017 under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Sultan Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy, United Arab Emirates and LI Yong,Director General, United Nations Industrial Development Organization. The second GMIS will be held in Abu Dhabi, UAE, in 2019
