In today's technology-rich environment, companies increasingly get involved in technology licensing and recognize the value of data as a business asset that should be protected and can be exploited through licensing to other parties for more synergy.
Companies, therefore, can encounter a range of agreements that implicate the protection and treatment of technology, data and related intellectual property (IP) rights. Where one party is seeking to exploit software, a data feed or has developed a database it wishes to license, data and IP issues may be the specific focus of a transaction. However, those issues also arise as an ancillary consideration in other licenses and commercial transactions, e.g. technology services arrangements or as a capital contribution for joint ventures.
During this webinar, the Europan Chamber is honoured to host Ms. Serena Du from Bird & Bird to provide some key legislative development and practical application regarding technology licensing and data protection for EUCCC member companies in all sectors.
