Intellectual property (IP) is the most valuable business asset SMEs have as it provides companies with the comparative advantage over competitors at the market. IP has a role to play at each stage of the business lifecycle and appropriate IP protection and management can guarantee SMEs success at the market. Likewise, poorly managed IP could mean the end of SMEs’ business endeavors in China.
Being successful means to have the proper IP strategy and the best way to create one is by learning from others’ mistakes. Learning what are the common mistakes other SMEs often make could help you avoid getting caught in those most common IP traps as well as save you valuable time and costs of going through these mistakes yourself.
During this webinar our IP Business Advisor Ms. Elinor Greenhouse will cover the most common assumptions, misconceptions and mistakes that SMEs make related to IP when operating in China or do business with China. With reference to the business culture, important mechanisms and laws that SMEs should pay attention to, Ms. Greenhouse will explain how to avoid the common IP pitfalls. In her presentation Ms. Greenhouse will include various case studies of best practice and what not to do.
