The European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the next Insurance Working Group Meeting. It will be held on Thursday, 14th December, 10:30am - 12:00pm, at the European Chamber Beijing office as well as online via Zoom.
In recent months, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has released further Draft Provisions on Regulating and Promoting Cross-Border Data Flows, which if implemented, are expected to have a substantial impact on many foreign companies. Under the new regulations, the compliance process for international businesses who export data is expected to be streamlined. These regulatory developments are an essential part of the evolving regulatory framework of cross-border data transfer out of China, which impacts companies across all industries.
At this meeting, Samuel Yang, Partner at AnJie Broad Law Firm, will provide a detailed update on recent regulatory developments on cross-border data transfer in the insurance industry. Please do not hesitate to share with us any areas of particular interest/concern, or open questions you would like to be discussed during the session.
This meeting will also provide members with an opportunity to discuss and provide input on Working Group priorities for the coming year. The session will be led by Amy Zhu, Chair of the Insurance WG.
Please note, the second half of this meeting is open only to members of the Insurance WG.
We encourage as many members as possible to attend and have their say in the activities of the Working Group in the year ahead.
Please note that this meeting will be conducted in English and is only open to European Chamber members.
