Industry 4.0 and 5.0 technologies such as Metaverse, AI, XR (AR, VR and MR) allow companies to innovate more rapidly, improve operational efficiency and make customer experiences more engaging. Among them, the metaverse has proved to be the field of transformational opportunities for small and big businesses, opening the doors for immersive consumer experiences. That allows businesses to create memorable interactions, driving higher customer satisfaction, loyalty, and ultimately, stronger business outcomes.
Shanghai has actively promoted virtual solutions for remodelling enterprises’ operations, promoting virtual customer engagements and growing a metaverse-based digital economy. On 25th July 2024, the local government issued "Several Measures on Promoting the Empowerment of Industrial Services for Industrial Upgrading", which are to provide financial support to projects with industrialised "metaverse" tools, such as 3D graphics engines, digital modelling, digital design, digital human generation, and spatial computing. The document promotes digitalisation and virtual solutions for improved efficiency and less environmentally impactful practices. The metaverse boosts business by enabling innovative marketing strategies and enhanced customer engagement through immersive virtual experiences, allowing brands to connect with global audiences in creative and personalised ways. Additionally, it opens new revenue streams while facilitating remote collaboration, reducing geographical limitations and expanding brand visibility across digital landscapes.
The event will raise the topics of Metaverse, AR and VRs’ effects on businesses’ development, resource-saving efforts and business expansion strategies.
