The European Chamber Tianjin Chapter is delighted to invite you to attend the 2025 Tianjin Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Government Appreciation Reception on 9th May 2025. During the AGM, new board of 2025-2027 term will be elected. Warmly encourage and welcome Tianjin Chapter members to join the meeting in person and meet the new board who will be deeply engaged in chamber's work in the upcoming 2-year's term. 

Get involved, understand chamber's work in the past year, meet with new members as well as stay connected with key stake holders from Tianjin Municipal Government. 

European Chamber President Jens Eskelund and Secretary General Adam Dunnett will both attend the whole meeting.

Board Candidates Announcement: 

By 17:00 on 24th April, the European Chamber Tianjin Office has received 5 applications. Motivation letter attached at the end of this page. The number of validly nominated candidates in any category is equal to the number of positions to be filled. According to the Chamber By-Law article 1.4, the Returning Officer will declare the result at the Annual General Meeting without a vote.

Remarks:

Effective from 1^st February 2025 through to 1^st July 2025, the National and Local Election Commissions, appointed by the Executive Committee (ExCo) of the European Chamber in line with Article 1.1.2 of the By-laws, will formally assume their duties to support this year’s elections. 

The Election Commissions at both national and liaison office levels have been created with the mission to: 1) promote a strong and diversified European Union business identity at the Board level (ExCo and liaison office boards); 2) improve consistency, transparency and efficiency of the Chamber’s ExCo and liaison office boards election processes; and 3) reinforce the competencies of Boards (ExCo and liaison office boards) aligned with the Chamber’s original core mission.
