Dear CSR Community members,
Globally, there are over one billion people with disabilities. They are now more active in our society than ever before. Yet employment rates are low and many barriers to work still exist. In recent years, more and more companies are willing to explore disability inclusion at the workplace and they find that there are many benefits inclusive companies reap beyond those related to compliance with nondiscrimination laws. Creating an inclusive corporate culture can actually help the companies improve the workplace, employee retention, their products, and brands.
The CSR Forum cordially invites you to the next CSR forum meeting from 3-4:30pm on Monday, July 30th at the EUCCC Beijing office. At this meeting, we will invite Mr. Stefan Tromel, the Senior Disability Specialist in the International Labour Organization (ILO) to share “How business can respect and support the rights of persons with disabilities and benefit from inclusion”. After Stefan’s presentation, Ms. Sarah Albert, the Director of Cooperate Social and Environment Responsibility (CSER) from Flex will present a business case on Flex’ practices to promote barriers-free and disability inclusion in China
