Please note the presentation on data governance will be given in Chinese without translation. Both speakers will be based in Shanghai.
While banking institutions are increasingly embracing digital transformation, recent years have seen the release and implementation of several important pieces of regulations and guidelines that touch on data security and privacy, such as the Cybersecurity Law and its implementing regulations, and the Guidelines on Data Governance for Banking Financial Institutions, with more still in the pipeline. The result is an increasingly complex regulatory and compliance landscape that has moved beyond planning phases to implementation and on-going management, and that concerns almost every aspect of banking operations.
Against this backdrop, the European Chamber is pleased to invite you to the fifth session of our Cybersecurity Compliance Series: Data Protection and Governance for Banking Institutions, taking place on Friday 27 September, from 10h to 12h at the European Chamber’s Beijing and Shanghai offices.
At this meeting, Deloitte’s Johnny He, Eastern Region Leader, China TMT Industry and Puneet Kukreja, Partner, APAC Cyber and China RA Alliances Leader, Chief Strategy Officer, Digital and Cyber Risk will elaborate on how banking institutions can turn regulations and guidelines into enforceable governance processes, touching upon topics including but not limited to management strategies, governance bodies, ownership & accountability, asset mapping, measurable improvement programmes and auditing.
