COVID-19 is taking a toll on world sports. From the Tokyo Olympic Games and the F1 Grand Prix in Shanghai to the women's Xi'an Open and the NBA season, the list of sporting events to be postponed or cancelled over Coronavirus fears keeps growing.
At this webinar, the European Chamber will host two experts to discuss the impact of the outbreak on the sports industry in China. and the way players can adjust to the new normal.
Ms Nikki Wang, Head of Sports Business, Deloitte, will share the 2020 outlook for the global sports industry and an overview of the COVID-19 impact on sports business. To identify the key drivers of growth in the wake of the outbreak, Nikki Wang will further consider the application of 5G and innovative technologies in sports.
Ms Yanyu Zheng, Co-Founder and VP, All Star Partner, will examine the new growth avenues that are opening up in China amid the current crisis, and how business can react from a digital branding and sports e-commerce perspective. Yanyu Zheng will explore the development of alternative business models that not only engage fans through online content, but also leverage sponsorship via digital channels.
