As the supporting organisation of the EU funded project Advance EU Access to Financial Incentives for Innovation in China, representatives of the European Chamber's R&D Working Group participated in the First Experts' Workshop of this ongoing research project. The study is a key action initiated by the EU as part of a monitoring of the effective implementation of the EU-China Joint Roadmap on Reciprocal Access to Research and Innovation Funding Programmes, in part to support the findings and recommendations outlined by the EUCCC’s Position Paper 2016/2017 in terms of the European accessibility to Chinese national research and innovation funding programmes.

On 20th March, the 2017 EU-China Forum on Sustainable Urban Development was launched at Putian, Fujian Province. This forum was hosted by the China Centre for Urban Development (CCUD) under the guidance of China National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). With the support from the Delegation of European Union to China (EUD), the Forum had the European Chamber, EUROCITIES, Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) Urban Europe as co-organisers and Putian People’s Government of Fujian Province as the implementer. The theme was Cooperation, Innovation and Practice.
