The European Chamber IPR working group hosted a meeting with the Shanghai Commercial Mediation Centre on the new co-mediation system that settles disputes between Chinese and European Union companies regarding intellectual property matters. The meeting featured Shanghai Intellectual Property Administration official Peng ZHAO as well as senior representatives of the SCMC who was part of the negotiation, David Chen (Vice Chairman of SCMC) and Dr Zhenyuan HU (Partner of Fangda Law Firm, former Deputy Chief Judge of the IP Tribunal and the Financial Tribunal in an Intermediate Court).
