The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to the launch of the European Business in China-South China Position Paper 2019/2020 at 16:00 on Wednesday 10th April 2019.
This is the second time that the South China Position Paper is brought out as a standalone publication. It compiles the latest assessments and concerns of European businesses operating in South China with the aim to offer constructive recommendations to the cities’ policy makers.
Its 2019/2020 edition evaluates the region’s ongoing development and provides the recommendations, from the perspective of European business invested operating in South China, on how the government can best realize its ambition.
The South China Position Paper presents key recommendations on three themes: the quality of the business environment and the foundations for its industrial upgrade, the stability of regional human resources, and the attractiveness of the province to foreign investment.
Critical as some of the South China Position Paper’s recommendations may seem, all of them are given in an honest effort to improve business environment in South China for both domestic and foreign companies alike.
Insights include:
- An overview of the perceptions of European businesses operating in South China;
- Analysis of the trends in human resources development and talent attraction;
- An in-depth analysis of South China’s business environment, industrial upgrade and IPR protection;
- Recommendations on how South China can further facilitate for foreign investment in the cities.
George Lau, European Chamber vice president and chairman of the South China Chapter, will present the South China Position Paper and discuss some of the key issues it raises with other panelists.
