On 22nd August the Shanghai Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China hosted its event “Making Sense of HR in China” How to Handle Mass Layoff in China”, in response to the interest from participants, we are hosting a second on event on mass-scale layoffs with focus on what happens after the downsizing is implemented and the news are out in the world.

Layoffs, like break-ups, are hard to do. No one likes to break the news, someone’s usually hurt and how it’s handled often affects many other relationships including, for employers, their brand and employee morale. For employers, an important question is what they’re sharing. In the wake of an incident or a layoff, employers must widen their public relations focus beyond traditional media to include social media.

The European Chamber is pleased to welcome you to an event where speakers from Cornerstone and Labours will share with participants key factors that need to be kept in mind after a mass-scale layoff is conducted.

Sandy is the Managing Partner of Cornerstone International Group, the Greater China region. She is responsible for the Workforce Transition and Career & Talent Management Consulting business.
With 25 plus years of management experience, Sandy is a recognized expert in workforce and strategic career & talent management consulting. Prior to joining Cornerstone International Group, Sandy was the VP Consulting of a global career &
talent consulting firm. Sandy designed and customized solutions to help different clients dealing with the people challenges along the workforce cycle in the G. China, E. Europe and Asia regions. In Sandy’s early career, she was the head of frontline and service delivery teams at Cathay Pacific Airways; and the people development teams in two retail groups, where she led, designed & delivered customer service training and talent leadership development programs to develop 5000+ employees across the globe including APAC, USA, Europe and South Africa.

Sandy has wealth of successful track records in acting as the clients’ trusted partner, aligning with clients’ business strategies, ensuring the return of investment through robust workforce consulting solutions and effective project execution.
