Dear Auto Components WG Member,
We are delighted to invite you to the next Auto Components WG meeting which will take place on Friday, May 22nd, from 09:00 to 10:30 at the Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd office. For directions please contact Davina de Smet at dsmet@euccc.com.cn.
As you maybe aware, the deadline for the final draft of the 2009 Auto Components Position Paper is the end of May. Please consult within your own company, both in China and Europe, and bring any recommendations or comments to this meeting for discussion. A copy of last year’s Paper is attached for your reference. Much of the Working Group meeting will be taken up with discussions on the Position Paper and the items which you wish to be included.
Agenda:
1. Presentation on Shanghai Volkswagen’s China Strategy, with particular emphasis on the supply chain, controlling and standards. The presentation will be given jointly by the Head of Purchasing and also Bernd Pichler, Director of Sales Finance & Controlling Division.
2. 2009/2010 Auto Components Position Paper.
3. Discussion on recent central government “calls for comments” and legislation.
4. Industry Update & General Discussion.
5. IPR issues.
6. Possible problems associated with obtaining “F” visas for foreign expatriate staff.
7. Reports from the recent European Chamber Annual General Meetings in Beijing and Shanghai.
8. Forward Agenda.
This WG meeting is, open to Auto Components and related manufactures who are EUCCC members . Non members who have not previously attended a Working Group meeting are also welcome to attend. Non members must still register in order to attend the meeting.
Also attached to this email are the minutes from the April WG meeting, as well as the results of the auto survey.
