Energy Working Group Meeting
Go back »
Dear Energy Members,
On the verge of Chinese New Year we would like to provide you with some Energy relevant information to take home and also to invite you to our next Energy Working Group meeting. See attached our Energy Newsletter. Also, our Eurobiz issue of Feb has Energy as its theme. See: http://www.europeanchamber.com.cn/view/static/?sid=1086
Reviewing all the feedback we got from you and our Copenhagen conference, the array of topics and issues to focus on is abundant. For our next meeting, we have tried to live up to all your request in one. Therefore, we have invited th head of the Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange (http://www.cneeex.com.cn/eng_index.html). We will discuss with him a broad array of issues that are of interest to you.
At this meeting we will also have the Working Group Chair Elections. As you may know, the Working Chair and Vice Chairs play a crucial role in driving the Working Group which includes a leadership role in the drafting of the Position Paper, communicating key messages to the Chinese and European Government, and steering the Working Group meetings. The desired characteristics of a Chair and Vice Chair are a senior industry representative with relevant industry expertise and government contacts that has the time and willingness to support the group.
We already have expressed interests from Peter Corne (Managing Partner at Eversheds) and Jacques Boppe (Vice President at GWI Wind Technology Shanghai). Anyone who is possibly interested in running for the position of Chair or vice Chairs is also encouraged and kindly requested to inform the Chamber via twerkhoven@euccc.com.cn, by 25 Feb.
