The Annual General Meeting of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China will be held on

We cordially invite all members of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China to attend the AGM.
Please note the change in the Schedule; the AGM will start at 19.00 pm.
The meeting will consider the Annual Report from the President, the Annual Report of the Chairpersons of the Working Groups and the Annual Report of the Treasurer for the year ending 31st December 2006.
Nominations
Elections for the posts of President, Vice-Presidents (3) and Treasurer will be conducted during the Annual General Meeting. The nominations for the different posts have been confirmed by the Returning Officer; Mr. Miguel Ceballos, Commercial Counsellor of Trade and Economic Section of the Delegation of the European Commission in China.
Voting
All members are invited to this Annual General Meeting, but only those companies who are ??orporate members??for year 2007 will be able to vote. If you are unsure about your status with the European Chamber, please contact the European Chamber office for more details.
Ballot papers will only be issued to members whose membership fees are paid up to date, including fees for 2007 as well as any outstanding obligations in respect of year 2006. Members who are unable to attend the Annual General Meeting may arrange to cast their vote through a proxy. You will find a proxy form attached to this email.
Vice President G. Verheugen of the European Commission
Vice President Verheugen of the European Commission will be in Beijing for talks with his counterparts in the Chinese Government. It is intended that Vice President Verheugen will speak at the AGM and attend the proceedings.
