The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is very pleased to invite you to the Breakfast Seminar of the Public Procurement Working Group which will be held on Wednesday 6th of June 2007, 8.30 at Hilton Hotel, Beijing.
This seminar will address: Green Public Procurement (GPP) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) - Opportunities and difficulties
Green Public Procurement and attention to quality allow substantial savings and long-term benefits to Public authorities, companies and society in general, when the Life-Cycle Cost of the product is considered. However, the implementation of environmentally friendly techniques, which often requires higher initial investment and accurate financial considerations of the overall project, is likely to generate an initial cost increase. In this regard, a correct tender evaluation approach is required to favor those techniques.
The objective of the Seminar is to give an overview of the opportunities and difficulties related to the Green Public Procurement and Life Cycle Cost, and will provide you with both theoretical and practical insights on this subject.
Speaker 1: Vincent Cheng, Associate Director of Arup and LEED AP.
