The convergence of the automotive and ICT industries will bring about significant disruption to previous business models and bring major challenges in complying with an evolving regulatory framework. In addition to foreign investment restrictions relating to the vehicles and various in-vehicle technology, new rules are also emerging to regulate liability, privacy, security as well as the testing of ICVs

The tax reform is one of the hottest topics that representatives, committee members, and people are most concerned about. The Ministry of Finance also plans to strive to complete the revision of the “Individual Income Tax Law” in 2018. At the same time, the tax collection and management system is undergoing major changes. The national land tax will be completed within this year. The three-phase gold tax system has become online throughout the country. All these provide strong data support for tax collection and management. In addition, the CRS ("Common Reporting Standard") has landed in China, and the State Administration of Taxation will, for the first time in 2018, exchange non-resident financial account information with tax bureaus of other countries/regions, further promoting the transparency of individual foreign assets and income information. The tax collection and management has entered a new era based on cross-border information exchange and big data. Enterprises and individuals will also meet more new challenges in terms of compliance risk and cost control. The seminar will discuss in depth the hot-spot tax issues involved in all kinds of people (including foreign employees working in China, Chinese employees, Chinese shareholders, and expatriates of “going out” companies) in the new situation. Ernst & Young’s human capital services team will also provide forward-looking one-stop solutions with years of professional knowledge and experience for many companies and individuals.
