Located at the geometric center of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Nansha in Guangzhou is the sole national new area in Guangdong Province and the largest area within the Guangdong Free Trade Zone. Nansha has successively been approved for national platforms, including the National Pilot Zone for Promoting Import Trade and Innovation, the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and policies such as relaxing market access and strengthening regulatory system reforms. In June 2022, the State Council issued the Master Plan of Guangzhou Nansha on Deepening Comprehensive Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao with Global Perspective.
