European Chamber President Jörg Wuttke and Vice President Sara Marchetta had an informative briefing with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, in Beijing on 20th April. Their discussion encompassed an overview of China’s business climate, politics in general and China Manufacturing 2025. Ms Mogherini makes a point of meeting the European Chamber during her annual visits to China to learn directly from EU companies how the European Commission can assist them in their market access endeavours. She Mogherini was in Beijing to prepare for the forthcoming EU-China Summit in Brussels, which will take place from 1st – 2nd June.
