Workers health and safety in the factories is a non-conformance that regularly come back during the audits. The goal of this conference is to discuss the perception and reality of manufacturing workers health and wellbeing with a focus on China and possible solutions. As the industry is going towards more automation and more complex process could it be a chance to reduce the negative impact of the some tasks?

Ms. Jeanette Yu
Jeanette Yu is Partner and head of Employment & Pensions Practice Area Group of CMS, China. She has more than 20 years’ experience in providing advice for international companies on labour law issues and compliance management. Her extensive track record comprises recruitment and dismissal of employees, formulating employee handbooks and implementing its policies, work permits and visa issues of expatriates, international secondment, data privacy, non-competition, social security, trade union and labour disputes. She has also been involved in significant projects of business transactions and restructuring, advising clients on employee transfer, relocation and lay-off of employees as well as negotiation of employment contracts and separation agreements.
Since 2017, Jeanette has been acting as the National Chair/Vice Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China. This year Jeanette was elected as the National Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Starting from 2017, Jeanette acted as the Vice Chair of HR Working Group of European Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Chair in 2019. Jeanette is also a member of Shanghai Law Society Labour and Social Security Law Research Branch.

Equipped with an Engineer degree in Textile and 15 years’ experience in China, Cedric is specialised in factory organisation from project to production lines management. He set up Delta Design Factory (DDF) in 2004, which was then acquired by Media 6 in 2016. He remains managing director at DDF.

Clotilde got her Master degree in food engineering in 2007. During 7 years she worked at Carrefour as a national quality manager and sustainability in Indonesia and China. She acquired a solid expertise supplier monitoring and training. She also coordinated the local projects for Carrefour foundation. Her high interest for impact projects then led her to join a young social enterprise for a few years. She is now handling consulting and business development for Responsabilitas.
Responsabilitas is an audit, consulting and training company dedicated to increase the performance of the whole supply chain in the respect of the best practices. Its network of local experts provides customized solutions to help factories go beyond social, environmental and quality compliance.

Violaine graduated from East China Normal University with a Master degree, she then joined Jiaotong- Paris tech engineer program as a technical language teacher. Passionate about CSR she is currently a PHD applicant with Paris Sciences et Lettres in the field of factory workers well-being while working as a capacity building trainer and social auditor at Responsabilitas. She recently published a paper in “Soins” a French magazine dedicated to health professionals on the topic of workers awareness of health and safety in Chinese factories.

Mr. Rose Martin
Rose works with clients to implement their social and environmental strategy on the ground, and develops primary research on emerging sustainability issues and trends in the China market. Rose is focused on labor, migration, urbanization, and waste management and has worked in the nonprofit and consulting industry in the UK, China and Jordan.
Rose first came to China in 2007, and has lived and working in three regions. She holds a BA in Chinese Studies from the University of Edinburgh, with a focus on economics and politics, and an MA in Chinese Translation from The University of London.

Mr. Knut Wimberg
Mr. Knut Wimberg
Knut helps executive management with organizational development challenges in a Far East Asian context and supports key individuals to unfold their potential. He believes in the healing force of finding one’s vocation and is driven by giving others deeper meaning in their work. He founded the Hong Kong incorporated consultancy Telos Pi in 2016 and acts as its managing partner. Prior to finding his own vocation, he served as managing director of Fronius China, a European headquartered technology leader in robotics welding, battery charging and photovoltaics, which he helped to build into a CNY 200 million revenue business as of 2015. Earlier stations in his career include a stint as technology attaché at the Austrian Consulate General Shanghai, and two assignments in the technology law industry with a Vienna based technology transfer agency and an international law firm. Knut holds a Masters of Law and specialized in technology transfer and intellectual propery, as well as a Bachelors in Far East Asian Studies. He is fluent in German, English and Chinese and lives since 2009 with his wife and two children in Shanghai."

Georg Stieler started STM's office in Shanghai in 2011. STM is a German consulting firm providing market insights and business development services for technology companies. Clients of the branch in Shanghai include companies such as ABB, Bosch, Daimler, KUKA and Siemens, among others.
Together with his Chinese team, Georg supports suppliers and operators of robotics, sensors, software and control systems systems in the region. Georg constitutes the base for STMs extensive knowledge about the Chinese automation industry and has become one of the leading independent experts in this field. In this function, Georg also frequently lends his expertise to investors and startups from Europe, the US and China.
Ms. Rosanna Terminio
Ms. Rosanna Terminio
With an international background in Europe and South America, and over 10 years living in China, Rosanna Terminio is a consultant, contributor and lecturer specializing in innovation and strategy for the organization, as well as human resources strategist. She works since 2006 for AsecorpChina, of which she become owner in 2011 together with a Chinese colleague. As an Independent researcher, she published an academic paper titled: “The impact of RAAI (Robotic, Automation and Artificial Intelligence) from the employee perspective. A scoping review” and she is now working on her PhD research about technology driven change and employee’s identity. She also contributed to the book “The work we need. People for Industry 4.0”, published in Italy in October 2018. Rosanna is certified as an Executive Coach (ICC) and LEGO®SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator. She gives lectures about Doing Business in China and HR Management in different Management Schools and Universities in Europe and China and participates, with pro-bono consulting, to different CSR activities.
