China’s first Environmental Protection Tax Law (EPT Law), approved by the National People’s Congress, came into effect on 1 January 2018. This is a major step in China’s effort to control pollution. Since its implementation, the European Chamber has organised various sessions introducing this tax law and its impact on businesses.
At this stage, it is crucial for companies to learn the practicalities of this new tax, and how to calculate their EPT tax rate efficiently. Enterprises should adjust their internal compliance system with more focus on environmental protection and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
The European Chamber is delighted to invite experts from PwC and Environmental Resources Management (ERM), who will explain how companies can better prepare for EPT return and build a strong compliance system.
