The European Chamber Sustainable Business Awards (SBA) rewards excellence in sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and raises awareness about sustainable business practices and responsible operating models. In September 2024, the Chamber will celebrate the 8th consecutive year of the SBA ceremony. As part of the SBA, the Sustainability Talk series aims to bring corporate leaders together to explore effective sustainable business development.
Numerous applications were received from companies based in and outside of the European member states in the 2023 submission process. To highlight the successful stories of the winning applications from this year, we group the winners by the countries of origin. In this talk, we are inviting companies originating from Germany, Boehringer Ingelheim China -the winner of the Circular Economy Pioneer Award and Resilient Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure Pioneer Award, and Covestro – the winner of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Leader Award, to outline their successful projects and practices. To recognise the contribution of German companies to sustainability, the Chamber is also inviting the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Shanghai to deliver the closing remarks.
