The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to the R&D Seminar: High-tech China 2016: The Shift to Innovation-led Growth
To successfully foster an innovation-friendly environment and stimulate investment in the R&D field, as is China’s stated goal, several fundamental policy mechanisms need to be carefully considered. These mechanisms should encourage, guide and safeguard companies looking to operate innovation-lead enterprises in China. While China has gone to great lengths to instate such structures, questions still exist as China slowly maps out its envisioned course to becoming a global innovation-powerhouse and inches forward in its reforms. How exactly does China aim to bring domestic innovation on par with that of the world? How is its approach to R&D stimuli evolving and how are the top industry experts in China currently navigating the field?
Join us at this seminar to gather a greater understanding of best practice approaches to R&D in China and how China is seeking to stimulate innovation and reassure investors in the current climate. The European Chamber will have the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Mason Wang, Unilever’s Director of Open Innovation for North Asia who will be presenting on Unilever’s approach to managing their China R&D. Also joining us will be Dr. Vicky Au, Tax Director at PwC, who will be presenting the tax incentives currently available to R&D enterprises in China, and Ms. Xiaoyan Zhang, Counsel at Mayer Brown who will speak about IP protection with regards to technology transfers.
