As an indispensable pillar of diversity and inclusion strategy, human resources management strive to facilitate equal employment opportunities. Various good practices among different industries have been implemented to promote the integration of people with disabilities, but this all starts with a match between the companies’ needs and the skills set of disabled workers on the market. How to bridge the gap and successfully recruit this talent, benefitting the company as a whole?

The European Chamber is delighted to invite you to participate in an interactive session with ILO Consultant and former UN Officer Mr Haibin Zhou, Professor June Chen, from the East China Normal University and Partner Jeanette Yu from CMS Legal to understand the current legal environment, learn about implementable actions that will help your company identify, recruit and support the growth of disabled employees.

A significant number of fresh graduates are not equipped with the competitive skills needed to function successfully in the current work environment in China, resulting in companies spending large amounts of time and money in training.
To help bridge the gap between students’ capabilities and market needs, the European Chamber Human Resources Working Group further recommends that companies get involved in developing university curriculum. Academia and business need to work hand in hand to share resources and develop competitive talent the market needs.
To discuss this topic at length, the European Chamber is delighted to welcome a host of professionals leading this change on the universities and companies side, who will share their experiences, challenges and best practices.

In a context of companies frequently restructuring their activities, mergers, acquisitions but also splits happen on a regular basis. When a company gets separated from its holding, it is crucial for each one of them to redefine its own identity and manage change in a global yet tailored way, adapted to the team in place, the company history and the local environment.
