Numerous applications were received from companies based in and outside of the European member states in the 2023 submission process. To highlight the successful stories of the winning applications from this year, we group the winners by the countries of origin. In this talk, we are inviting companies originating from France, FORVIA Faurecia China, Lesaffre, and VEOLIA, who won the 2023 SBA in these categories respectively - Decarbonisation Leader, Rural Development Pioneer, and Circular Economy Pioneer, to outline their successful projects and practices. To recognise the contribution of French companies to sustainability, the Chamber is also inviting a representative from the Consulate General of the Republic of France in Shanghai to deliver the closing remarks.

In recent years international F&B manufacturers and exporters are looking at the country for their investments and business expansion; US and European brands such as Beyond Meat, Omni Foods, VIOLIFE, and St Hubert have stepped into the Chinese market, of which the food and beverage market size was 9.1 billion US dollars in 2021, registered with a CAGR of 14%, according to Zhiyanzhan Research Institute.
